Shanghai Dragons Acquire Defenseman on Loan from Avtomobilist

The Shanghai Dragons have acquired 20-year-old defenseman Daniil Malorosiyanov on loan from Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg.

Malorosiyanov has appeared in 92 KHL games with Vityaz Moscow Region and Avtomobilist, recording nine assists.

He has also played 32 VHL games for Gornyak-UMMC, registering seven points on three goals and four assists. At the junior level, Malorosiyanov appeared in 121 MHL games with Russkie Vityazi and Avto, totaling 47 points with 14 goals and 33 assists.

Shanghai Dragons General Manager Evgeny Artyukhin:

“Daniil is a young, promising defenseman who has already shown that he can compete at the KHL level. He began his career as a center, which is reflected in his hockey sense and ability to read the game.

“We need young, hungry players who want to win and can bring more speed, determination and internal competition for places in the lineup.”

With the move, Shanghai adds a mobile young defenseman with strong offensive instincts and significant professional experience for his age.
