Shanghai Dragons Sign Forward Dmitrij Jaškin to One-Year Contract

The Shanghai Dragons have signed forward Dmitrij Jaškin to a one-year contract.

Jaškin arrives in Shanghai as one of the KHL’s premier power forwards, bringing extensive experience from both the NHL and KHL.

The Czech international appeared in 329 NHL games with the St. Louis Blues, Washington Capitals and Arizona Coyotes, recording 74 points on 29 goals and 45 assists.

In the KHL, Jaškin has played 414 games for Dynamo Moscow, SKA St. Petersburg and Ak Bars Kazan, totaling 339 points with 207 goals and 132 assists, along with a plus-101 rating.

Last season, he helped Ak Bars reach the Gagarin Cup Final, finishing the year with 25 goals and 17 assists in 79 games, while posting a plus-11 rating.

Jaškin is a two-time recipient of the KHL Golden Stick Award as the league’s most valuable player and a two-time KHL All-Star.

Jaškin will wear No. 23 for the Shanghai Dragons.

With the signing, Shanghai adds one of the KHL’s most accomplished offensive players, strengthening the club with proven leadership, elite finishing ability and championship experience.
