Shanghai Dragons Sign Forward Nate Sucese To One-year Contract

The Shanghai Dragons have signed American forward Nate Sucese to a one-year contract.

Sucese brings extensive North American professional experience, having spent five seasons in the AHL with the Tucson Roadrunners, Iowa Wild, Chicago Wolves and Hartford Wolf Pack. In 277 career AHL games, the forward recorded 110 points (52 goals, 58 assists).

The 2025–26 season marked Sucese’s first year in the KHL, where he suited up for the Shanghai Dragons, appearing in 64 games and collecting 16 points (6 goals, 10 assists).

Evgeny Artyukhin, General Manager of the Shanghai Dragons:

“Sucese is a fast, skilled forward who can create scoring opportunities both for himself and his teammates. He already played for the Dragons last season, so he knows the KHL and understands what Mitch Love expects from his players. That familiarity should allow him to fit into our group quickly.

“We want to add more competition and skill to our forward group and become a more productive offensive team. We believe Nate can help us accomplish that.”
