Shanghai Dragons Sign Barulin, Koshelev and Koledov to Tryout Contracts

The Shanghai Dragons have signed forwards Vladislav Barulin and Semyon Koshelev, along with defenseman Pavel Koledov, to professional tryout contracts.

Barulin has appeared in 222 KHL games with Amur Khabarovsk and Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk, recording 97 points on 45 goals and 52 assists. Last season with Neftekhimik, the forward registered 17 points on seven goals and 10 assists in 40 games.

Koshelev brings extensive KHL experience, having played for CSKA Moscow, Avangard Omsk, Metallurg Magnitogorsk, Ak Bars Kazan, Admiral Vladivostok and Sibir Novosibirsk. Over 615 career KHL games, he has produced 246 points with 116 goals and 130 assists. During the 2025–26 season, Koshelev split time between Admiral and Sibir, totaling 33 points on 13 goals and 20 assists in 64 games.

Koledov has suited up for Sibir Novosibirsk, HC Sochi, Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, Salavat Yulaev Ufa, Avangard Omsk, Admiral Vladivostok and SKA St. Petersburg over the course of his KHL career. The veteran defenseman has played 728 games, recording 42 goals and 101 assists, while also blocking 882 shots and delivering 706 hits. Last season, Koledov appeared in 52 games for Admiral and SKA, collecting seven points on three goals and four assists, along with 91 blocked shots and 45 hits.

The three players will compete for roster spots as the Dragons continue preparations for the upcoming season.
