Shanghai Dragons Sign Vyacheslav Kozlov to Coaching Staff

The Shanghai Dragons have signed coach Vyacheslav Kozlov to a two-year contract. Kozlov will oversee the club’s work with forwards.

Kozlov brings an elite playing pedigree and extensive KHL coaching experience to Shanghai. During his playing career, he won the Stanley Cup twice, capturing back-to-back championships in 1997 and 1998. He also won the Gagarin Cup twice, in 2011 and 2012.

As a coach in the KHL, Kozlov has worked with Spartak Moscow, Avangard Omsk, Kunlun Red Star during the 2020-21 season, and Dynamo Moscow. He has also served as head coach of Khimik in the VHL, as well as Dynamo Moscow.

With the move, the Dragons add a proven hockey mind with championship experience, deep knowledge of the KHL and a strong background in forward development.
