Ildar Mukhometov Named Shanghai Dragons Assistant General Manager

The Shanghai Dragons have named Ildar Mukhometov assistant general manager.

A former professional goaltender, Mukhometov won two Russian championships with Dynamo Moscow and was a member of the championship-winning team at the 1992 World Junior Championship.

Following his playing career, Mukhometov built extensive experience in hockey management. He served as sporting director with Barys, assistant general manager with CSKA Moscow, general manager of Admiral, and sporting director of Mikhailov Academy. From 2025 to 2026, he held the same position with Lada Togliatti.

“Ildar is a highly experienced hockey executive who has spent nearly 30 years working in management. His understanding of the game and his ability to identify and evaluate players’ strengths will undoubtedly be an asset to our organization.
