Mikhail Kotlyarevsky Joins Shanghai Dragons in Trade with Avangard

The Shanghai Dragons have acquired forward Mikhail Kotlyarevsky from Avangard Omsk in exchange for monetary compensation, the club announced.

Kotlyarevsky’s contract runs through the end of the 2027–28 season.

The forward appeared in 81 games last season, recording 15 points on seven goals and eight assists. Over his KHL career, Kotlyarevsky has played 360 games for Salavat Yulaev, Spartak Moscow, Admiral Vladivostok, HC Sochi, Traktor Chelyabinsk, Severstal Cherepovets and Avangard Omsk, totaling 91 points on 46 goals and 45 assists.

“Mikhail will bring energy to our team,” said Evgeny Artyukhin, general manager of the Shanghai Dragons. “He is a forward who can be equally useful at both ends of the ice. He plays a physical game, reads the play well, can contribute in combination play and is capable of driving through opposing defenses around the net-front area.”

With the move, the Dragons add a hard-working, experienced KHL forward who can provide pace, physicality and versatility across the lineup.
