Shanghai Dragons Sign Veteran Winger Greg McKegg for Remainder of Season

The Shanghai Dragons have announced the signing of Canadian forward Greg McKegg to a contract through the end of 2025/2026 season, adding a versatile and experienced presence to their forward corps.

McKegg brings extensive professional experience to the KHL, having played 251 NHL games, tallying 41 points (23 goals, 18 assists), and 497 AHL games with 264 points (106 goals, 158 assists).

GM Igor Varitsky commented on the acquisition:
“McKegg was on the radar of several KHL clubs, and for good reason. He’s a two-way forward who can play center or wing, excels in faceoffs, and competes hard in all areas of the ice, including penalty killing. He will strengthen competition within our roster and add skill both offensively and defensively.”

McKegg will wear #19 for the Dragons.
