HSE St. Petersburg and Shanghai Dragons to Launch Internship Programs and Courses for International Students

HSE University — St. Petersburg and the Shanghai Dragons hockey club have signed a cooperation agreement. Students of HSE St. Petersburg will have the opportunity to complete internships across various departments of the club, conduct research in the field of sports, and enhance their portfolios with international projects.

Anna Tyshetskaya, Director of HSE St. Petersburg:

“Shanghai Dragons are the first sports club to become a partner of HSE St. Petersburg. On the one hand, this is quite unexpected. On the other, today’s development is driven by bold and unconventional collaborations — it is through them that innovative, forward-looking projects emerge. We are always open to fresh ideas and ready to act not only as a university, but as a community and a business.”

Sergey Belykh, Shanghai Dragons CEO:

“We have every reason to take pride in our higher education system. I was truly impressed by the HSE St. Petersburg campus — it is a world-class university with talented and ambitious students. As a young and ambitious club, the Shanghai Dragons are always looking for new talent that can bring fresh and modern ideas to our organization. I am confident that this partnership will create significant value for students, researchers, and both the sports and academic communities in our country.”

The agreement between HSE St. Petersburg and the Shanghai Dragons goes beyond sports development. Students from the School of Design will take part in developing fan merchandise and visual materials for the club.
