Sergey Belykh – CEO of the Shanghai Dragons
Sergey Belykh has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Shanghai Dragons Hockey Club.
– This is a very exciting and ambitious project, and I was glad to accept the offer to become CEO of the Shanghai Dragons, said Belykh. – I spent a considerable amount of time with Avangard, know the KHL well, and have experience with complex projects involving team relocations and starting a season in a brand-new arena. This project is even more challenging, as it involves moving the club to another country: the Shanghai Dragons are a Chinese team and will be playing in China. Our Chinese fans – many of whom have already reached out with questions – can be sure that there will be some exciting news for them very soon. The upcoming season will be played in Saint Petersburg, which is especially symbolic given that Saint Petersburg and Shanghai are sister cities. We are grateful to the city authorities and SKA Arena for their warm welcome and assistance in managing a wide range of organizational matters.
I enjoy taking on big challenges, and our entire team is ready to embrace this one. In the near future, we’ll be sharing updates on our roster, tickets, merchandise, and much more. We look forward to seeing everyone at SKA Arena starting September 6!
