Shanghai Dragons Announce Coaching Staff for the 2025/26 Season
The Shanghai Dragons are proud to unveil the coaching staff that will lead the club into the season.

- Craig Slaunwhite – Strength and Conditioning Coach
- Nikolay Pronin – Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

- Pavel Smirnov – Video Analyst
- German Malashenko – Assistant Video Coach


– We have a well-balanced coaching staff with both international and Russian specialists, – said Dragons General Manager Igor Varitsky. – Nemirovsky will be responsible for offensive strategy and power-play execution, with Ignatiyev focusing on defensive play and penalty kill. Both bring extensive KHL experience, including head coaching roles, and will help Gallant and Kelly make a smooth transition to our league.Nemirovsky first crossed paths with Gallant in 1998, playing for the Fort Wayne Komets (IHL) while Gallant served as an assistant coach at the outset of his coaching career.
Goaltending duties will be overseen by Vladimir Kulikov, who played in both North America and Russia and has successfully coached Russian national junior team. Craig Slaunwhite, a highly regarded and in-demand specialist on both sides of the Atlantic with experience in the NHL, NBA, and Russia’s SKA, will be responsible for player conditioning alongside his assistant, Nikolay Pronin.
Rounding out the coaching staff is our video department, led by one of the league’s top video coaches, Mikhail Bykov, along with his assistant German Malashenko and video analyst Pavel Smirnov, who joins us from HC Sochi.
