Shanghai Dragons Acquire Defenseman Vladislav Leontyev

The Shanghai Dragons have completed a trade with Admiral Vladivostok, acquiring 25-year-old defenseman Vladislav Leontyev. Leontyev has signed a contract with the Dragons through the end of the current season. Admiral will receive financial compensation as part of the deal.

Leontyev has appeared in 176 KHL games, recording 31 points (6 goals, 25 assists).

Igor Varitsky, General Manager of the Shanghai Dragons:

“We needed to increase competition on the blue line and add size to our defensive group. Vladislav Leontyev fits those requirements very well. His ability to play a simple, reliable defensive game is especially important for us right now, and we expect him to strengthen our back end.”
